Yesterday, members of the JustUS Coordinating Council (JCC) and the JustLeadershipUSA (JLUSA) team convened key regulatory agencies to discuss background checking and employment discrimination.
Today, the JCC is happy to announce the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has taken a bold step in enforcing economic justice by filing suit against Sheetz, a large mid-Atlantic convenience store that is alleged to have discriminated against BIPOC applicants by denying them employment based on past impact by the criminal legal system.
